Here at Juneau Private Tours we aspire to give you three of the best hours on either your cruise vacation or if you are just passing through Juneau in the Heart of Tongass National Forest. Roughly the size of West Virginia the Tongass is the largest national forest in the United States and home to approximately 70,000 people living in 32 distinct and unique communities.

When you are visiting the capital city of Juneau, Alaska, you are visiting the capital city with the largest landmass in America. To see the sights and amazing scenery you need to cover plenty of ground as Juneau is so large. We will be guiding you on an adventure of over 100 miles of our road system showcasing the best Juneau has to offer. We are taking you to old mining areas, the Shrine of Saint Therese, Mendenhall Glacier views, DIPAC Salmon hatchery, Governor's mansion, sheep creek and more… Dont forget our amazing wildlife! Bears, Mountain Goats, Eagles, Seals, Otters, and yes even Whales can be seen from the road system so bring your Cameras and we have Binoculars for each guest along with Light Alaska Themed Snacks and Drinks.

Juneau Private Tours is owned by USCG Licensed Captain Dave Harman. He's been leading tours and fishing for a living in Southeast Alaska since 1999 with tens of thousands of hours guiding sport fisherman and commercial fishing. You're going to learn a lot about the history of Juneau, Forestry, Mining, and Seafood Industry and lots of great stories. Dave and our other drivers Steve, Mike, and David give you local knowledge you'll never get from a "tour guide" just here working for the summer.
